The Shelby Valley Wildcats have blown out national champion Yates High School by a score of 66-34.

Those scores are actually percentages in MaxPrep.com's MaxMadness national tournament. The percentages are based on the number of fan votes and Shelby Valley is rolling through the popularity-based bracket.

With the win, the Wildcats move into the Final Four of the MaxMadness Championship. Their next opponent will be Plymouth Whitemarsh (Penn.).

To this point, Shelby Valley has defeated a "who's who" of high school basketball: Peabody, Montverde Academy, Findlay Prep and Yates.

Let's show the world how powerful high school basketball fans in Kentucky can be and help Shelby Valley win the whole thing:

I know this is all based on voting, but Shelby Valley would be ran out of the gym by Yates, Findlay Prep, and Montverde.

Still people hating on Valley! Ridiculous, just be happy for them or not, just move on. There is always next year for your team.

I voted for Shelby Valley. Have to go with the Ky boys!!!

The winner gets a banner to hang up. Not sure what it says, but still that's pretty cool!

I don't care if you hate Shelby Valley - go vote for them to win one for the Bluegrass State.

Exactly. It is just for fun, so let's help them win.

I voted for SV but no way they would win this tournament in real life.

Valley moves on to the Championship game!!

Keep it up!

I voted! This will put Kentucky High School on the map. Without a doubt, this will show the country we play serious hoops.

I think everyone in the nation already knew that, but thanks for letting us see your true colors . . . again!
