April 13, 201016 yr Boston attorney Harry Manion joined the Dennis & Callahan show Tuesday morning and said that he was recently involved in an investigation into an incident involving Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger that was similar to last month's situation at a Georgia nightclub for which Roethlisberger faces a possible suspension from the NFL. April 13, 201016 yr  I may have to come up with a new nickname for LeBron. "Giant Tool" seems ever so appropriate for Ben.
April 13, 201016 yr If you're not coming forth to pursue criminal charges its bad form to make it public IMO.
April 14, 201016 yr I was wondering other day if someone would try to strike while the iron is hot...
April 14, 201016 yr I was wondering other day if someone would try to strike while the iron is hot... They're not really "striking" though - they're just throwing out vague, unsupported accusations at this point. I can't stand Roethlesberger, but it's kind of tough to defend yourself against this type of media charge. If the girl has been victimized, then they should pursue a case in criminal or civil court.
April 14, 201016 yr If you're not coming forth to pursue criminal charges its bad form to make it public IMO. While I think I agree the girl didn't actually make it public right? This lawyer is alleging that she feels she was assaulted and went to him for council She decided not to pursue it and he mentioned it not her. Maybe she knew or was counciled that he wouldn't get charged or convicted if he somehow did get charged. Ben has way too much money to get convicted unless all the evidence lines up. Why pursue it if you're the female?
April 14, 201016 yr I bet after his meeting today, he changes his approach to the chickadees. Suspension forthcoming or not.
April 14, 201016 yr I was wondering other day if someone would try to strike while the iron is hot... The girl in Georgia struck right after the incident. The DA called her the victim. This is a little different. When other NFL players and media members play the race card which has started I totally agree w/ them, and I hate the race card 99% of the time.

Why pursue it if you're the female? My issue is not with the supposed victim. Its with an attorney throwing out an accusation in such a casual manner.

April 14, 201016 yr You know what I think? I didn't figure you did, but I'll tell you anyway. We got a lot more info from the DA than I think we needed. Frankly, I don't know if I'm the family that I wanted all of that read to the public, and perhaps he did it somewhat spitefully because she and her family decided to forego any further litigation in the matter. Nonetheless he proceeded to explain how her sorority chicks and she seemed to meet up at the same bars as Ben's entourage all the while bar hopping and getting smashed and the two of them had several conversations of the sexual nature. I'm not saying that it wasn't a poor decision on his part, but if most young red blooded males in a similar situation played the game all night with a coed as she chases you all over town, then when the rubber meets the road so to speak, she agrees, something happens and after the fact when her friends and his are making the remarks, suddenly she realizes she made a mistake and now in a "highly intoxicated" state, she wants some sort of retribution. IMO, it was a poor choice on both parts, but for those of you who have never seen or been apartied to a rape kit/exam, it's not too difficult to determine if there was something penetrated. And I know firsthand that those who perform those tests not only are highly scrutinized by the authorities who seek the truth, they are highly cautious and thorough because that's simply taboo amongst the profession. I know it's more than irony that the chick in LV had a similar story to an extent and I also agree that there has to be smoke where there's fire (not vice versa). And for Ben's sake he'd best change his ways or his rearend will be in the klink with Bubba, who by all means would like to give Ben another super bowl ring:scared:
