jvdfc Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Has anyone seen the team practice? I was wondering who will step up this year. No, but I was hoping you would let us know.
STAYGOLD Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 They have plenty experience returning,so i hope its a good year.First game of season they travel to Fla. to play Webber Int.
brady Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 My son tells me that their defense should be tough this year with everyone but a couple starters returning... says that there is plenty of competition at the quarterback position with a transfer (6'1") from Cincinnati State (I think) who can fly- not sure if they will use him at corner or running back (should be a plus on either side of the ball).

I was told there were five QB's competing. Doss, Smith, Ammons, Van Isaac and one other.
mcpapa Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I was told there were five QB's competing. Doss, Smith, Ammons, Van Isaac and one other. Interesting - I think they've used Ammons exclusively at receiver so far.
jvdfc Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Interesting - I think they've used Ammons exclusively at receiver so far. I'm so glad they are at least giving Kaelin a shot at QB. He is a winner wherever he ends up. :thumb:
bcd00 Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I'd say Ammons stays at Wide Reciever, he is one of their best. I also think that Doss wins at QB, he seems to be the best athlete out of the bunch.
STAYGOLD Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Im going with Van Isaac, if Ammons does not get it.

If the kid transferred from Cin State he didn't play football last year.
sportsnut859 Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 If the kid transferred from Cin State he didn't play football last year. That's what I was thinking.:thumb:

Give me Ammons in game situations.:dancingpa As a coach, I wouldn't see moving Ammons If he wasn't going to be seriously considered for the starter.
brady Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 He was their receiver last year but they have him taking snaps this year... son says he may start at quarterback (his highschool position)
