Hangman Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Congratulations to Shelby Valley... Looks like another big day for Justice and Newsome.
passtheball Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Congratulations to Shelby Valley... Looks like another big day for Justice and Newsome. Indeed. Justice and Newsome stayed on the court until 3 minutes or less to go in the game. Just never know if a team can go on a 29 and 0 run to tie things up in the 4th. Better safe than sorry.

passtheball Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Your having a Field Day? LOL I've seen it both ways. Coaches going out of their way to rest players or prevent from demoralizing other teams and players. Then the other side where coaches go to make a point or help kids pad stats. In any event, SV vs WJess should be a good one.
BANKSHOT Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 I think Justice scored 4 points in the second half. Its the state tournament if you cant play you get thumped. And trust me SV has been on the receiving end of some of those.
Icanscore Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Justice is amazing. Love to watch the kid play. Should be nice game tomorrow against west jess. I look for sv to win by 10+

passtheball Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Actually it was 3:34, but who's counting? You? Looking forward to seeing the brackets collide.
TrueBlueWildcat Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I'm tired of hearing about whether or not to pull starters. For some of these players this State Tournament is the last games they will ever play, so why not play as long as you can?
King James Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 You? Looking forward to seeing the brackets collide. See, the thing is, we are enjoying the ride these boys are giving us. If it ends against West Jessamine tomorrow, we'll still appreciate all they've done for our community. They have given us so many good times over the past 4 years. There is no need for us to get on here hating on other players and teams like you do.
DragonFire Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I'm tired of hearing about whether or not to pull starters. For some of these players this State Tournament is the last games they will ever play, so why not play as long as you can? Why not? It just takes one injury to derail a title run and make a coach look like the moron that allowed it to happen. I'm sure winning by 10 more points in the first round would comfort a team in that type of circumstance. Does it happen often? No, so you are somewhat safe with your stance, but again, it would just take once, and the only responses you would see would be "Why was so and so in there?".

There is no need for us to get on here hating on other players and teams like you do. SV will get past W Jess, and the collision I was speaking of is the upper bracket where all of the ranked teams are. Enjoy the ride absolutely! I was merely asking whether a coach should leave starters in simply to demoralize the other team who happens to be playing in front of the same crowd SV is.
FatNate Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I was very impressed with Valley. I am looking forward to the matchup with West Jess.
