And by the way, coach Simpson even admitted to the gallatin bench it was a bad call!!

South was the better team in this one, they just played really bad basketball. Everyone who was watching knows that this was a terrible game for south and a really good game for Gallitan. South would have probably pulled it together in OT anyways. And you think you got cheated? Video, look at that. The Gallitan county call was NOTHING compared to this. THAT is cheated. Any coach is going to say that to make the other coach feel better.

I agree. We could argue that call forever there are points to both sides. It still won't be changed though.

The fact is that this game was too good to be decided by that. You never take the game out of the players hands. In this situation I think the true deciding factor is the shooter. Jackson's 3 was a fade away 23 footer that there is no way you make that call. I wouldn't use the word screwed, but definitely a call that most wouldn't want to see decide a game.

One thing that you can say to Gallatin fans is that IF you have the ball with :30 left in a tie game you simply cannot turn it over the way they did giving a 2 on 1. You likely lost the game on that possession. One can always blame refs, but GC shouldn't have been in that situation that it would come down to that call. They had to have a shot when the game was tied and likely a last shot that made the game OT or a win. Never complain if you don't take care of that ball in that situation and moreover when you are up 26-9 you cannot let it be 2 or 3 at the half. I personally thought the game was lost then.

Great ball game though.

Gallatin lost the lead because half the starters were in foul trouble and had to set the 2nd half of the first half. You should have stopped at the fact is a game like that should not be decided by a call like that.

You have got to be kidding me the kid wasn't touched. The Ref was not the deciding factor in the game South may have won it in overtime but you have to let the kids play and not take that privilege away from them. This should have been OT.

They played really bad basketball? You short change your kids with that opinion. Gallatin might have had something to do with that. Give credit where credit is due. Gallatin gave a much taller talented team all they wanted and then some. The South shooter was bailed out, period. I really would have liked see the game decided in OT. Not only is that not a foul in that situation, it is never a foul. Absolutely disgraceful.

Casey Jackson, South's leading scorer was in foul trouble the entire game and was limited to probably 15 minutes as well. The game was not called that one sided. Robert, I was the first to say that it shouldn't have been called, but Gallatin likely had 20+ turnovers, very uncharacteristic and some of them were the "bad" ones that lead to layups against the 1-3-1. Was the call good? No, but GC should have taken care of business when they had the ball at the end with the game tied. When you don't do that, when you turn it over that many times, when you blow a 17 point lead you can never simply blame officials. GC lost the game for so many more reasons than a call. I think OT would've been the right thing for both teams, but it is what it is.

Gallatin County is the most fun team to watch in the 8th region. They play the game the way it should be - with heart and integrity. A solid fan base that cheer their butts off every night. I am proud of this team that no one gave a chance to at the beginning of the year. Good luck to SO tomorrow night. Good Job to the team especially the seniors Zac, Bryce, and Jake.

You are right. It was not one sided. But the last whistle was absolutely ridiculous.

I don't think anyone on the board is argueing that Gallatin has better talent than South. South is the better team. Gallatin played better tonight. All at the game will attest to that. Ask Jackson if he got fouled. His comment after the game to a Gallatin player was he flopped and did not get hit. It was a disappointing way to end a season for Gallatin. They certainly could have taken better care of the ball at the end. OT was the right way to settle this game, not a flop foul on a fadeaway 3.

I was there, and I'm not from Gallatin or South Oldham. It was a terrible call. The game was a great game to watch. Both teams making runs. Gallatin's early and then South making a run before the half. South comes out after half and takes the lead and I thought the game was over, but then Gallatin comes back and retakes the lead. Gallatin did make a costly turnover late I agree, but so did South. So you can say if both teams would of taken care of business then the play at the end would not of mattered. But, neither team made all the plays and the play at the end did matter. Terrible call, let the kids decide it. To good of game to let end that way. Good luck to South - I think they have a great chance tomorrow against Shelby. Congrats to the Gallatin's Seniors, not only a great year, but great careers. Just my opinion.

It was a bailout, end of story. Good luck against Shelby County. Would love to see South win.

WOW!! But, I already knew that because I saw it with my own two eyes. I was 25 feet away and saw that. The ref was only 4 feet away and had to see that he wasnt touched also!!
