Pure domination over the last 4 years. Even as a Newport fan its been fun to follow them recently and I went to my first sweet 16 last year just to see the dawgs first round game. Was a really fun team to watch and even if my Wildcats didnt win yesterday I probably would have went to Rupp to cheer on the dawgs.

This group has to rate right up there with the CovCath teams of the late 60's, the NewCath teams of the early 70's and the Holmes teams of the late 70's. They have accomplised something that none of those groups was able to do and have the ring to show for it.

IMO: this group of Holmes players has had the greatest run in 9th region basketball history that will probably never be duplicated again.
