They may call the hand checking and other tick tack fouls but not the muggings. I have seen no consistency between the crews. Some of them give the appearance that they don't even want to be here.

 

Among the things that I have seen:

 

A girl basically "tackled" from behind at mid-court and no call on the tackler.

 

Two girls diving for a loose ball. One girl clearly gets their first, and has the other one on her back. Girl on the bottom gets whistled for the foul (not for travelling...but for a foul).

 

A girl clearly set up in the paint, and is blatently run over by an out of control player...blocking foul called on the defender.

 

Dribbler tripped in between two defenders and hits the floor...ball out of bounds to the defense.

 

A ref whistling a foul, and then gets to the scorer's table, and completely goes blank as to who the foul is on. (Okay, so this can happen to anybody, but still...)

 

I know there are going to be some defenders that can argue a case-in-point just based off my description. But, I think a video review of any of this particular events, it would be hard for anybody to agree with the calls.

Right on! :thumb: All great observations. :clap: Those were the ones that STOOD OUT! I don't believe "video" is used as a training tool for the 6th region officials. I can only attest to how improved the NKOA FOOTBALL officials have improved the last couple seasons since making GAME FILMS the meat of their training sessions!

 

RAY CHARLES could have made most of those calls listed with just his hearing! MAKES me nervous about tonights final because I don't know how either team can prepare for this varying type foul calling! :isurrender:

That particular play simply stunned me.

Let's not forget the final second - and extra second - of the South Oldham-Shelby Co. game. Make sure that you add it to the not-so-small list of officiating peculiarities. Would a different team in playing the semifinals, and possibly even the final game, have upset the tourney apple cart??? We'll never know, but it makes for interesting specuation.
