Just got in from the game, I am so hyped. Man what a game!!!! What a come back from the Cards, what heart this team has. Stenzel had 22 of his 24 points in the second half. Zollo had 22, Kindred had 6. Kindreds 2 biggest points were foul shots in OT. Hope to have full stats later. My son got these for me off the radio.

Oh Les, now lets have your rating for the state.:ylsuper:

Congrats to GRC, though. A big win.

I love the fact you guys hang on EVERY word I say — you guys make me feel special. Heck, I believe I was mentioned more in this thread than GRC.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again, GRC will be playing on Saturday, but one win in the regular season doesn't clinch a state championship.

Coach Humphrey keeps improving his team, they might just be playing for a state title.:thumb:

Clark County beats No. 1 Ballard

From the Lexington Hearld:

http://www.kentucky.com/813/story/1148179.html

Zollo carried the Cards in the first half — he had 12 of their first 14 points — and finished the night with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Corey Rogers, a 6-5 junior, had 15 of his 17 points in the second half.

Ballard, which stormed to early leads of 19-4 and 26-8, lost its mojo after that. It had trouble against Clark County's zone defense, and didn't capitalize on its superior quickness.

Ian Chiles led the Bruins with 22 points. Keisten Jones had 19 and Means added 11.

When these teams met in last year's regular-season finale, Ballard won 74-73 on a jumper by Jones with five seconds left.

This time it was Clark County's turn to celebrate.

BALLARD (24-4) — Jones 19, Chiles 22, Means 11, D. Hardin 6, Baker 2, Parker 6, Collier 6, F. Hardin 4.

CLARK COUNTY (22-6) — Stenzel 24, Zollo 22, C. Rogers 17, Daniels 2, Kindred 6, Purvis 9.

Ballard 22 8 13 21 12—76

Clark County 8 12 19 25 16—80

our ONLY senior Chase Kindred.

Now that is scary. Only one Sr on this talented team.

Congrats to GRC, though. A big win.

What about us Gals?:D You you did say we should be playing on Saturday. Now Les, where would you rank GRC?

You gals, too. As for state ranking, probably fifth or sixth. But rankings don't matter starting 2 morrow. they'll be playing on Saturday.

Would you have us above Ballard? You know like you complained about us being above Seneca?????

"People were talking about how we couldn't beat the top ranked teams, well this should shut them up for awhile."

Glad you finally see the light Les, although I will give you credit. You definitely said we would be playing on Saturday. I truly believe if we take care of business in region and get those few lucky bounces needed in the State Tournament to win it all, this team can win the whole thing.

Looks like GRC is the best team in the state.

It was the home court advantage... They beat us last year on a last second shot on their home court. Must be something to this home court advantage, :sssh:

Or it could be the better team won. GRC looking good heading into region.

Both are great teams, won't say GRC is better, but this shows that GRC can play and win with the best in the state. :thumb:

Sure did! :thumb: With the help of home court advantage. :ylsuper:

If you've ever been to a Ballard game at Ballard, then you would never argue that there is no such thing as home court advantage ever again.

Big win for GRC. Good to see the 10th get a win over the 7th. Congrats Gold and the Cards.

Thanks my friend. 8th game with a Louisville team for the Cards this year.I believe all of them have been from the powerful 7th region.

You had to feel like the Cards were going to get over the hump eventually against one of the better teams from that region.

Congrats to GRC on the big W. :thumb:
