Teams that rely on perimeter scoring are bound to lose games every now and then. To be consistent you have to have a post game to get high percentage points. I think Montgomery is very good, probably just cold. It happens. Harrison could make them pay because of their size

Montgomery relies a lot on how well they shoot the ball which is always a dangerous thing. Thomas definitely altered if not blocked the shots in the paint forcing Montgomery to shoot outside.

Montgomery County has to be the worst 17-9 team in the state. Have seen the Prewitt kid twice and absolutely do not no what the fuss is about. Paris could knock this team out of district if they for once would come to play this season.

 

Considering most people thought their record would be reversed (9-17), I'd say Coach Griesser and the Indians had a nice regular season.

And as far as Paris knocking off the Indians in the first round of playoffs...anything could happen, but I don't see it. Heck, I could win the lottery tonight!

17+9=26. You base your assumption on 2 games. I wish opposing coaches would listen to you. Maybe they would not put defenders inside his uniform with him. They would just play off of him. The kid, who is only a freshman, has commanded the respect of opposing coaches wherever he goes.

Senior night can have two effects. A team can come out so pumped up they blow a team away or they can come out flat because of all the pre-game hoopla and lose focus of what is at hand. Montgomery County lost focus early and this team has had a tendency to roll over when they get down early. This team will be ready to play Tuesday night.

Well said. Guess I just have higher expectations of MC and being such a big school and all(enrollment-wise), like to see then do well and at least be competitive with Clark County. Just don't seem like they get the constant reloading of classes that Clark and Mason gets. The Prewitt kid is obvious a talent and is a future star, if not already one, not saying that. Just that in the only two games that I have seen him this season, it seemed like the upperclassmen didn't want him to get involved, he had to try and create off the dribble or take the quick shot when he was able to get the ball, just one person's opinion in only two games of watching him. Defense probably had a lot to do with it.
