What Beer/Wine are you are tasting right now?

Anyone heading to Madtree 2.0 this weekend? It actually opens at 11:00am today, but I guess they are celebrated the opening on Saturday and they are having their annual Bonanza.

We are heading there, probably early on Saturday and then eventually NKU Homecoming.

I'd like to try the Braxton / Graeter beer but I probably won't be able to find any around Owensboro. Think I have to come to Cincy at the end of the month, hopefully they will still have some around.

BTW, I got ahold of a can of the Braxton white IPA (can't remember the actual beer name) and it was really good. White IPA's are my favorite type of IPA by far.

^Spotlight. It's solid.

Had it for the first time this weekend and enjoy it as well. Usually their beers are just okay for me, so I was glad I liked that one quite a bit. I haven't had Tropical Flare yet. Hoping I like that one as well.

Put this in the other thread about the new Braxton/Graeter's beer:

Cracked open two tonight. One cold and then let another warm up a little. I am disappointed and it left a lot to be desired in my opinion.

Lack of any Black Rasberry Flavor. I am a big fan of Milk Stouts and this was alright by my standards. If anyone feels like me after trying it and never had Madtree's Rubus Cacao, I promise you wont be disappointed.

Unfortunately this was like most Braxton Beers for me, just kinda meh. A for creativity on the collaboration. D+ on execution. Go with a C.

I opened a second can of the Braxton collaboration last night. It was much better than the first, much more berry flavor. I really enjoyed it.

Jealous. I didn't get hardly any berry flavor with either can I had so far.

I read where they will be brewing additional batches. I wonder if based on feedback they might increase the amount of berry? Although it appears that this beer has been a little underwhelming, having not tried it yet, it still sounds amazing.

Random beer related question:

Can you put growlers through the dishwasher, and does it actually clean them?

I don't know if you are supposed to, but we usually run ours in there.

Every year Rhinegeist has a home brew competition. Winner's recipe is released on tap and bombers. They always call it Homie.

Homie 2017 is Belgian Dubbel. Really enjoy it.

Also had Shades of Grey by Agaianst the Grain.

They have turned into a brewery that I will always grab a new beer from them if I see it.

Dont know why I post this in here, y'all follow me on Untappd anyway haha!

If you had the choice between Blue Stallion Brewery or Country Boy Brewing?

I've had quite a few Country Boy's. Never had anything by Blue Stallion. Both located in Lexington.

West Sixth. LOL

I guess that could be an option too. We are going to the UK game on Saturday and wanted something walking distance. Had a lot of their stuff as well.
