Great regional win for the Lady Cards.

 

The 10th region just keeps getting more and more interesting. It seems that the top 8 teams have beaten each other at various times throughout the year.

GRC closed the game on a 53-27 run!

Not so fast Magicfan, Montgomery Co. beat Lex. Catholic at Catholic by 11, the same Catholic team that beat Clark by 17 at Clark. Montgomery Co. may be ready to make a strong run to defend their crown.:sssh:

GRC is not the same team that lost to Catholic, as they have won something like nine of their last twelve games, which includes a hard fault loss at Madison Central recently and they beat a really good Anderson Co team last week to give Anderson Co their first home loss this year. Also, they have Jewell Rogers back who is only going to get better with more playing time.

Saint Patrick was without Starting Guard Charisma Payne, I do believe, so this score could have been an different outcome. Both Payne sisters were in a wreck on Friday night. Good showing for St Patrick I don't know if Ciera played but without one of their best players and almost pulling this one out has to be good.

Where has Jewell Rogers been?

 

I agree, without Charisma Payne the Saints were at a disadvantage. She has been a leading scorer for the Saints. I thought that Ciera Payne would also be out for a while. I was a little suprised that she was back on the court so soon.

One of the Payne sisters was out for the game. I hope the other sister comes back soon, as without her they were lacking in depth. Also, GRC was without starter Kayla Jones tonight.

Brittney Black led GRC in scoring with 16 -- 4 3s in the second half. St. Pat jumped out earlier and built a 21-5 lead and led by 9 at the half. GRC then won the 3rd quarter 21-12 and the 4th quarter 17-7. GRC had 26 pts. off the bench tonight. Difference in ball game.

Yea. I didn't realize the question had been answered on that thread until after I posted on this thread. Thanks, though.

Brittani Gay came off the bench and followed with 11 points, scoring six of those in the third frame. Shamy Williams hit a pair of treys in the second quarter and followed Gay with eight points. Clark’s bench produced 26 points, including seven by Jewel Rogers, making her third appearance since rejoining the team last month.
