Newport Central Catholic to announce new head coach

NCC is set to announce the new head football coach this afternoon(Tuesday). A newspaper article will be in Wednesday Cincinnati Enquirer.

A press conference is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

 

My speculation is that it will be either Dan Wagner or Eddie Evistan.

I tried to get the inside scoop this morning from a very reliable source and got nothing! They are keeping it pretty hush-hush! :sssh: Both are solid choices (assuming they are the 2 finalist) I hope Wags gets awarded the job. He would be a great leader for the Breds for many years to come!:thumb:

For those of us not from northern Kentucky, who are Wagner and Evistan?

Dan Wagner has been the D-coordinator for quite some time. He is an alum, but presently teaches at another school. Eviston is also an Alum who had great success in College at Georgetown. He is on the staff, and works in the development departmant at the school. Not quite as much coaching experience as Wagner.

I've heard the new coach will meet with the team after school, so I believe it will be around 3 or 3:30.
