Yea, team did not know until they arrived at the school tonight. Suprised them too! Shows how much I think I know! :isurrender:

 

Some great defensive sets tonight on both sides. 18 - 16 SK at the half. Took lead in the second and never gave it up.

 

Lady Pioneers needed this game after taking it on the chin twice in recent games. Play Scott in a rematch on Saturday @ SK, keep it up.

Good news, how'd she do tonight?

Sydni wasn't 100% but she looked much better than I expected. She actually looked better during the game than she did in warm-ups. She hit a key runner down the stretch and nailed some 3's during key times. She got rolled on at the end and was in hurting. (It is her left ankle hurting.)

Congrats to the Lady Pioneers. They definately have the psychological edge over the district. Until someone in the district can beat them, they will continue to have this edge.

Wainscott was a surprise, nice move Coach Stowers. Nice win for the Pioneers too. Dixon and Brown looked scary underneath, must have been a good battle!

Simon Kenton (17-5) -- Wainscott 15, Ponzer 6, Stevenson 5, Pace 4, Brown 6, Blevins 5.

Game was tied with 1 minute to go and Walton misplayed a high screen and Wainscott hit a three. Walton came down and got an open look and missed from 3 to tie. Wainscott was then fouled and connected on both free throws. In both games this year Wainscott has made critical plays in the last minute of play to seal wins for Simon.

WV came out to redeem themselves, playing hard and tough defense, Those who think they would come back to town and perhaps let their performance down south dictate the remainder of the season, are mistaken.
