All I know about him is he was the JV Coach at Princeton when Bill Brewer passed away from a heart attack. Brewer had been the coach at Roger Bacon prior to coaching at Princeton, the Bacon team that beat LeBron.

A few thoughts from the game:

 

- Jordan Sibert may be rated higher by the "scouts" but Ricardo Johnson is every bit as good as him, if not better. Sibert is quicker and has a quicker release, but R. Johnson is a much better all around player. Ricardo was too strong for Sibert all night at both ends of the floor and that's why Sibert kept settling for jump shots. Ricardo Johnson showed last night why he's the best player in the state. Here are the stat lines:

- Both Ricardo Johnson and Darrien Wilkins played all 36 minutes of last night's game. Both of those kids have to be tired today.

 

- Holmes has to get more production outside of the "Big 3." Pittman finished with 14 and 9 while JJ finished with 11 and 4, but outside of those two, Holmes got just 4 points combined from Rice, Slusher, Herndon, and Hayes. Not having Avery in there right now really hurts their depth.

 

- Princeton is a mirror image of Holmes. Both teams play very good defense but Holmes definetly bailed them out by settling for so many jump shots. Pittman really needs to stay in the paint. He could dominate down there. JJ needs to start attacking the rim more. For whatever reason, these two simply don't attack the rim the way they did over the summer on the AAU circuit.

 

- Last night's lost ended a 32 game win streak for Holmes at the fieldhouse. It was their first loss at home since they lost to Holy Cross back in 07.

 

- All in all, a great game by both teams but Princeton made one more defensive stop and got one more bucket than Holmes and that's why they won. Holmes lost to a very good TEAM last night. Princeton is one of the only teams I've ever seen work on nothing but fundamentals during pre game warm ups, rather than putting on a "dunking clinic" in lay up lines.
