Revis was in man coverage the entire time. After having this discussion previously, if safety help over the top is defined as double coverage, well, then there's no such thing as single coverage on a wide receiver in the league. Free Safety plays centerfield usually unless a CB or SS blitzes and then he picks up the slot or TE. I'll leave it at this,,,I'm fairly certain that Chad is not a major worry for the Jets with Revis covering him.

 

I think Revis is the best corner in the league. That being said, Chad was open three of the four times they threw his way and he blatantly dropped two of them. I will be shocked if he is "shut down" on Sunday.

Shut our with zero caches AGAIN, yes I would be shocked. I look for Ocho to have 5 catches for about 60 yards and no TD's, which is shut down in my book.

For a huge Bengal fan, you don't get to watch much do you? Ocho will be single covered by Revis, just like last week. You can expect 8 in the box for much of the game in my opinion. If the Bengals can't run it with Benson, they won't win. And I hate that because I'd like to see Rex Ryan cry about it in the post game.

Those are just average numbers for someone that is the focal point of a team's passing attack. Its also less yards than 5 tight ends had this season.

I was just reading an article on ESPN Insider talking about Revis and the myth that teams don't throw at him. It turns out that the receiver that he was covering was targeted a total of 102 times this season. More than all the other Jets corners combined. However, he only allowed an average of 3.6 yards per attempt on those targets. Considering he was always covering the other team's main receiver that is a scary number.

 

It also addresses the "myths" that Carson Palmer is a great game manager and Wes Welker is irreplaceable in the Patriots offense. If you've got ESPN Insider its a good read. Its written by K.C. Joyner.

Did you see that average per attempt when Revis is targeted? 3.6 yards, that's insane considering he's covering the other team's best each game. If 85 gets 60 yards against him it would probably be a good thing for the Bengals.

Chad was really going all out last week. I can't wait to hear from you guys after the game.
