January 3, 201016 yr That's funny. OSU lost at Purdue. I think UC would beat Purdue anywhere in the world. OSU's QB was so terrible all year that some of their fans wanted him to change positions and while they were at it they wanted Tressel fired. Now they win one game against a decent team all year and they are great again. Do people forget the way Oregon was embarassed at Boise? The P10 has been atrocious in bowls and all of a sudden OSU is better than UC. If Kelly had stayed and Meyer didn't get rushed to the hospital would Florida have been as inspired and UC have been as lost? Florida is better and has better atletes and they played as hard as they have all year. That doesn't discredit UC IMO. If OSU is the big dog in Ohio why did they run back to Columbus w/ their tails between their legs refusing to play in PBS? Yeah we are going to cater to UC and come to Cincy when we gave them a million up front so they could help advance there practice facilities. We also beat Penn State and Wisconsin who beat Miami of FL and LSU, two upper level programs. Going into yesterday Oregon had "the best offense in the country." "They are going to put 50 up on the Buckeyes." Donald the duck found out on their first drive.... Eugene we have a problem... we better start running east and west. The OSU defensive line would have had the same effect Florida did on UC. But go on to tell me how many TD's we would lose by will ya? Once upon a time Oregon had a "great" offense. A novel by John Anthony, 15% off in Ohio.

Oregon was embabrassed so bad in their 1st game that their best player was kicked off the team for sucker punching a player and trying to fight his own assistant coach and half the crowd. OSU played great yesterday. I'm just not ready to crown them king of Ohio for beating Oregon while UC easily beat the 2nd best team in that conference on their home field. It's funny how refusing to play in Cincy has now become a favor for the OSU faithful. They were terrified of going back home w/ a 2 TD loss in PBS b/c of how it would look for the recruits in the Cincy area. Spin it any way you want, but they took their ball and went home. They agreed to play there originally b/c they wanted to show off for recruits. I'd guess now that Kelly's gone they'd like to come back.

Or wait.... maybe the people in Columbus knew BK wasn't going to be at UC when this game came to fruition? Yeah we need to play in Cincy to help recruiting... did you see Posey's TD catch yesterday? He's from Colerain township, 15 mins from Clifton. Most UC and OSU people are on fine terms, so if your now a UC fan we would prefer to keep it that way if you don't mind. Secondly congrats on the big win and for recruiting Ohio well. Actually well is the wrong word. OSU is great at recruiting. OSU is by far the best program in Ohio. They have been for a very long time and they will be forever. They should be. They earned it by being great for so long. That doesn't change the fact that sometimes they might not be the best team in Ohio. My belief is this year could have been that year. I believe UC would have beat them. I also believe OSU knew UC was gaining momentum and they didn't want to take a 2 TD loss to a team w/ a spread offense run by Kelly while their coach was running the ball and kicking FG's all game long hoping to beat good teams. OSU IMO will be better than UC 18 of the next 20 years. This year just might not have been one. To discredit what they did b/c of a drubbing by Florida is unfair IMO.

I think your confused the game was not happening this year. We will see how things shake out when it does happen. OSU does still have a 2011 opening. Jones is a solid coach and they still may run a spread. But Oregon also ran a spread. The main thing you discredit is how good the OSU D was this year. Yes the offense was Jekyl and Hyde but that's what ya get with a kid still trying to learn the O. I hope he is more consistent next year. And it still sounds like a new offensive coordinator will be in place.

I'm not sure I'd take the Junior running OSU's offense the next two years over the Junior running UC's the next two. OSU should contend for two National titles though. They are good. I didn't discredit OSU's D. I didn't even discredit them. I believe UC was better in 09. They weren't yesterday though.
January 3, 201016 yr SSC, Gators had their chance and didn't score in the second half against us, we play them again we shut them out the whole game. But, heres my point, we will never know. But what we do know....read my opening.

But what we do know....read my opening. I agree. They had their shot and weren't as good as Bama that day. W/ the Meyer situtaion if I were a Bama fan I'd love to play a Texas team who's best win is Oklahoma St rather than a highly motivated Gator team. I think Bama's better and they proved it. I just wouldn't want the Gators this week no matter who I was.
January 5, 201016 yr The Bowl people really mess up by pairing UF with UC,it should have been UF vs TCU and UC vs Bosie St.JMO The TCU team that is playing tonight would have looked worse than Hawaii against Georgia a few years ago. I know Florida had their way w/ UC, but you really think TCU would have made a difference? Florida was beating anyone that night IMO.
