Did the official get this call right (not the technical)?

It look to me that the one foot never did go out of bounds that being said both feet were inbounds and on the floor when the player touched the ball. Secondly I don't see how the official could have made that call based on his positioning and angle he had on the floor.

He clearly went out of bounds after the shot. The official ruled he was still OOB when he touched the ball. Correct call?

No not even close and again even in out of bounds it would have been near impossible for the ref from where he was at to make that call. At the end of the video it says it was called because the player did not establish both feet back inbounds which I thought the player did do that but just to be inbounds not even close.

I'm not clear on what you're saying "not even close" to.

 

I'll completely disagree with your belief that he couldn't make the call. He's looking right down the line.

Then he could have saw that neither foot was on the side line, and his left foot was actually closer to be out on the sideline not the baseline and there would have been no way he could have saw the sideline from the other side of the floor.

The player clearly did step out of bounds and received the ball before his left foot stepped back in bounds.

 

As to the bolded part above, this comment always gets me. There is only one thing that matters - did the ref make the right call. It always gets me when people complain about a call because they don't see how the ref saw it or felt he was out of position. If there was a violation and the ref called it, it doesn't matter where he was. A ref can call a foul under the basket from beyond the half court line if he sees it and you don't have a legitimate complaint if the call was correct.

I don't think it was clear that he was not back in bounds. As a matter of fact only one foot went out of bounds for sure. Also was not clear enough to call and decide the game because if the shooter would have rebounded his own shot time would have expired before he could shoot again. This is a place where the official decided the outcome.

I also agree. I replayed it several times and used the pause button trying to determine if both feet were in bounds. It looks to me like the left foot was in bounds when he caught the ball. The referee did not have replay/pause to use and it was a bang-bang play. I think he made the wrong call. I think he noticed the player out of bounds and cocked his whistle. Tough call to make, but he did have the nads to make it.
