Are you serious? Some guys move on to HC jobs and don't win. Sometimes it's the talent level and sometimes it's that the coach is better as just an OC or DC. He had success with Meyer and a guy who coached with him during the Meyer-years (Mullen) is also having success. Let's give the guy a chance.

As should the success the UK team has had in the last 4 years should concern UL fans.

But, IMO U of L and UK have no reason to be scared of or hate each other. Recruiting inside the state of KY really won't make or break either program IMO. Sure you don't want to let Mike Bush, Micah Johnson, or Brian Brohm get away but those guys don't come out every in boatloads in the Bluegrass IMO.

 

I love UK and I'm not scared of U of L in football. I hope they're good in the future. Charlie Strong isn't going to hurt UK football any more than UK's 3 bowl wins hurt U of L IMO.

No doubt about it is the best conference. I hear that year after year as well. When are you going to start winning in that conference consistently? Instead of an occasional win over Auburn and Georgia. :sssh:

Who claimed a dynasty for UK? As a UK fan I'm proud of our team this season and it's a success IMO. True frosh QB wins 5 games as a starter? Yeah, I'll take that at UK.

 

Success is relative. Should WKU only consider their season a good one if they make the BCS? Now if we're talking about an established football power like UF or USC, I would agree this record would not do. At UK, IMO to become a power in the SEC it has to be done gradually. UK's program is solid IMO. This was a rebuilding year of some sorts and they made a bowl. Not bad.

 

IMO, this season is a success for UK because they didn't take a step backwards. A 4-8 season and all of UK's momentum would have been gone, I think.

It's rather minor success, so I am sure Louisville fans don't really concern themselves with UK.
