Henry county played a great game, had a great gameplan and executed it greatly. They won all the hustle plays and grabbed rebounds against Owens bigs. I thought OC big men didn't play good at all, especially Shelton. He is just a big body that takes up space, made a few free throws and that's about all he did. OC had the size advantage over Henry, but they didn't use that to their advantage. Pete Baldwin had a great game and he was very impressive making clutch free throws and getting rebounds over the big men. Just like last year when Henry and Owen played, Pete Baldwin dominated the big men. Great game HC!

 

No excuses Henry played a good game. I do not understand why you can not celebrate the victory without calling out a player by name. I am a close friend to the Shelton family. I admire this kid a great deal. No one including me knows what this kid in enduring to play his senior year.

Simply put. Owen's PG and SG were terrible!

I recall this last statement. You cannot put a lose on 2 players. Henry played well and deserved a win.

It was their second district win. HC beat Carroll earlier this week.

I thought they got back in due to the smallest 125 schools classified as Class A schools. They were in it last year. What is the criteria for Class A schools now?

Henry played well. They took their time on offense, working for a good shot. Owen seemed to forget who the go to players were on the team. Williams rarely saw the ball and Osborne did not see it much after hitting the early 3's

I'm pretty sure you are correct. But, I noticed in the participating schools that Cornerstone Christian is listed for the 8th. Are they playing in the tournament? I don't remember seeing them in the brackets.

I do not think so they pulled out of the V-Ball and Henry did not get to come back in. Tough break for Henry I like it when get to participate both in Girls and Boys.

You are exactly right, and the big men didn't play to well either. You have to give credit to Henry co. They played a great game.

 

I agree with this comment. It cannot be a loss totally on the guards! Goodness, NONE of them played as well as they usually do. However, wasn't one of the guards the high scorer with 14 points, and another guard tied TWO of the big mens score of 6 points?????? You have to love the blame game. That's when you know you're not a coach, you're a parent!
