I'm not sure on this one either. Trinity easily won their scrimmage against BG(and BG only played about 8-9 kids with Behennon in most of the game as I remember) so unless they were missing a couple key players from football they would appear to have some work to do to be ranked in the top 20.

I think they're missing one. He's a tall guy (plays tight end), but he's never been all that daunting a player.

I would pull Clark Co. down two spots and subsequently move Eastern and Shelby Valley up one. I would drop Highlands and replace them with Trinity. That still may be too low for Trinity but I think they should be on there. Otherwise it is so early to tell hard to really say at this point.

Highlands is tough not to many teams returning their entire starting line-up including their bench and adding a 6'-7" prescence inside. This team will bring it on defense make no mistake about. Flynn does not intend on walking the ball up the floor and hammering it out each possession. Mason Co. comes to down in a few weeks quess we'll have to wait and see.

The BIRDS will surprise many around the state, but not the 9th region. Remember this come March, Ft. Thomas Highlands Bluebirds- 9th Region Champs.

I agree that Perry County probably doesnt belong there yet but could very possibly play there way into the rankings. No ranking is going to be completely right but this is probably the best one Ive seen. IMO :thumb:

Telling you guys, don't drink the Purple Kool-Aid, at least not at this point. They've got one great player surrounded by very average ones. I don't see BG as a top 20 team.

One player does not make a great team. There are too many good players and coaches in this state to allow one guy to lead his team to a top-20 ranking

Certainly hard to argue Holmes at the top but I would slot Eastern in the #2. I also believe that Ballard is a top ten and perhaps Bryan Station a bit high considering the outcome of that game. Highlands is underated (returning everyone, are you kidding!) but they will have plenty of opportunity to improve their ranking with their schedule.......but the obvious ommission is Trinity. They are a solid Team, I think they are legit top twenty and climbing.

Nope you're right,Corbin lost come key players this season. They might make an appearance in a Top 25, but I'm not for sure. South Laurel might too.

But I sure do remember a 40-plus thumping Corbin had last season during a scrimmage against GRC.
