Beneful and whatever me and the kids do not finish for dinner.

Has anyone tried the "Nutrish" by Rachael Ray? They have a pretty good deal on it at Kroger right now.

 

My dog likes it. I have tried 2 different flavors with her and she likes them both. The fact that there are multiple flavors is a good thing. I rotate her food every other bag. She gets bored with them and likes to change.

 

I use Diamond, Wayne, Nutrish, Iams, one of the Southern State brands (can't remember which one) , and (oddly enough) PetPride Natural.

 

Diamond and Wayne are my most used. Usually it's a bag of Diamond, a bag of Wayne, a bag of something else, then back to Diamond, Wayne, etc.

 

For the change of pace bag, I pretty much read the label (22-26%) protien and (12-15%) fat. I lean towards the lower ends of those as my dog is a little older and not as active as she used to be. Zero food coloring in it - it can lead to skin allergies. Nothing with to much corn meal as your everyday long term food. Nutrish product has some, but also has a good blend of rice, soy, beet, and oatmeal.

My dog eats the RAW diet and does very well with it. When he "has" to eat dry dog food, then it is Natural Balance.

I was having trouble with our 1yr old also. We switched from about 3 different hard food to Beneful about 3months ago and for the most part she seemed to like it. But after about a 2weeks she seemed to stop eating it. I gave one more thing a shot, knowing she loved the soft food.

 

I put the amount were supposed to give her each meal in a bowl and dripped water into the bowl. Enough water that its just got most of the pcs of Beneful damp. Then I put it in the microwave for 20seconds. It makes the Beneful dry food pretty soft and chewey. She hasn't skipped a meal since and loves the dry food (now wet). I doesn't smell very good to me, but must smell like Montgomery Inn to her, because she's eating all of it. ALL THE TIME!!!
