Closer than expected.

Could be. But I'm fairly sure that LCA has not forgotten last year.

I am rooting for LCA to get some payback for last season and fulfill their destiny as the 2009 Class A State Champs.

This is shaping up as possible payback for the last two years for the LCA crew - Hazard this week and perhaps Beechwood next. I have to think LCA would like nothing better than for that to be the path to their title.

Weak. Weak nothing Hazard hasn't had a schedule like this in years. Pretty good schedule in my book. And like you all said haven't heard much of Hazard on here this year. I will say Hazard by 3.

For what the Strength of Schedule is worth:

Per Massey site ---

LCA ranked #22

Hazard ranked #97

Hazards 9 Wins were against an Average Massey Rank of 182.22; their 4 Losses were against an Average Massey Rank of 64.

LCAs 11(cant count CPA in TN) Wins were against an Average Massey Rank of 136.36; LCAs 1 Loss was against Rank of 13 (LexCath).

Rams68 - I have more! :)

Hazard’s 3 Playoff games:

Opponents Massey Avg Rank: 174

Hazard avg scores are: 53.33 – 9.67

Avg Margin: 43.66

LCA’s 3 Playoff games:

Opponents Massey Avg Rank: 150

LCA avg scores are: 57.67 – 19.67

Avg Margin: 38.00

But just so everyone understands what we remember last year...

Raceland had all the stats and was the #1 team in the state last year and LCA was fortunate to defeat them in the Regional Championship game - then LCA was favored to beat Hazard because of an earlier 49-7 victory over them 4 weeks earlier and went down and got beat in the Semi's 28-21.

The point is...Stats mean NOTHING in HS Football - Emotions, Execution and Game Plans are everything.

LCA too much for Hazard in this semifinal match up. By the way I will take one of those smoke grilled bologna sandwiches to go.

In a lot of games weather conditions mean more than stats. Some teams will play better than another say in cold or rainy weather. But using your stats after ten or twelve games sure does give you a feel of where these teams are. I'm sure Hazard will come in all fired up and ready to play. But this LCA team is on a mission. You can tell it. I've seen it first hand. They come out focused and mentally ready to do battle. And they are GOOD. IMO it will take a very very good team that has a very special exceptional night to beat this LCA team. And what makes it worse for Hazard is the fact that they beat LCA after getting beat so bad just four weeks before at this same time last year. You know that the score is all over the locker room from the last game. And the people around them remind the players of it everyday. This LCA team will be ready for this game physically and mentally. They had an easy game last week. Compared to last year.

And for the record...I have just confirmed with our Concessions Manager that they will be stocked up on the Grilled Bologna Samiches - for the Raceland contingent who are coming back for this week's game! :)

By the way, give yourselves EXTRA TIME to navigate to the LCA campus this week due to the MALL TRAFFIC will be extra-thick due to BLACK FRIDAY (Day after Thanksgiving) - YUCK!!!!

Two Eagles the RAMS may have been ranked #1. But LCA and RACELAND was so evenally matched that it just come down to mistakes. All you have to do is look at the scores. Both of these teams could have been tied for first all year. I think you have a much bigger seperation in all these teams this year. JMO

You may want to post this periodically for the Hazard fans. My family and I went to eat at the mall last week before the game. My wife told me to come out on the side where the over pass is . But I didn't listen and went straight out to the highway side. It wasnt black friday or any other special day. But it took me 20 extra minutes of driving. And doing things that I maybe could have got a ticket for. People better heed to this statement or you may get to the game at halftime!

You're right. LCA has the potential to win, & possibly win big.

But "Potential" means: you ain't DONE IT yet. The Bulldogs sure aren't going to roll over & play dead.

That's why I agree (much as it pains me :p) with TwoEagles: stats mean nothing at this point.

Thanks LCA. Now I don't have to take the family out to eat before the game. We can eat right there. Maybe I'll drive through KFC and get some sides and sneak them in under my blankets!! So much cheaper plus I don't have to leave that 75 cent tip. That always kills me.:D

And I save fighting all that traffic. Man you guys are life savers! (pun intended):D
