November 17, 200916 yr I am a Pat fan but either way this game is on every channel. Everyone questions the call, I agree with going for it but I am also a little arrogant, cocky, confident or whatever you want to call it. I was saying go for it before the timeout was over, except I said throw it up to Moss and let him make a play, but then again I don't have three Super bowls either so who am I. Also, while I am typing this I have seen it twice already on SportsCenter, Trent Dilfer is ridiculous. I also would have more trust in Brady than any defense, kinda like taking the ball out of Jordan's hand in the play that could win the game.

He runs scores up and does what it takes to win. Or maybe loosing now, means winning later??? Bill is playing mind games with me.:jump:

The play worked, Brady threw it a little behind him and he bobbled it. If he makes a clean catch then he gets the yards. The play call worked but the execution didn't. Welker was also more open than anyone on the field coming across the middle. I know it more reasonable to punt and I see both ways but I like the decision to go for it and seal the game.
November 17, 200916 yr He got a bad spot. He secured the ball very close to the line...I don't know if he had it or not, but it would have been an inches measurement, not a clear miss like it was. Therein lies the biggest mistake, IMO...burning a TO before the drive even started and then not having one to challenge with. It's inexplicable to me that a team like New England, guys like Belichick and Brady, can come out on the field on first down to start a new possession and have to use a timeout without even running a play. That was inexcusable and played as much a role in costing them the game as any other decision may or may not have.
