I hope this isn't tongue in cheek. That would be great if Quan were able to come back. Saw him play last year and was totally impressed with his ability. This would change the game a little. As much as I wish Mr. Weaver the best, I've been there with trying to come back to soon from a major injury, I would encourage him to not expect to be 100% and go out and just enjoy what is left of his senior year. Doesn't Louisville still want him? If so I'm surprised the Frankfort coaching staff would risk his future by getting him hurt again.

Quan will not play. This is no longer Quans team. This team is in the hands of several other kids.

Nothing to be sly about. FHS will line up and run the rock and play great defense.

 

Coach B and the staff at Frankfort are one of the best staffs around. There is no doubt in my mind that they will continue to make lemonade out of lemons.

 

Frankfort still has several capable kids that have the ability to make something BIG happen Friday night. I would not be surprised if many of the prognosticators on this board eat their words on saturday.

Frankfort will win this one in a classic. A great defensive game that comes down to two point conversion execution and who can stay out of 3rd and long situations because of both teams great run defenses. Frankfort's players have put the injury excuse behind them and played hard each week after losing Weaver and Tillman early on in the season. Although this is the best team that Frankfort has played thus far, Foley, Smith and Ackiln will have the Panters ready and they will win 23-19 with the following mindset, "You can't worry about the horse being blind or hurt, just load the wagon and see how far down the road you can go."

 

Next week may be a different story but this week..I'll take the Panthers in an upset.

I'm trying to understand why some people think this will be such a close game. Granted, I haven't seen Frankfort play, but they did just barely get by a BB team that was simply crushed by two district opponents...and you are getting ready to play one of those teams. If none of the previously injured players are coming back...how do ya see them competing in this game? just curious.

I don't understand how that if Frankfort wins this game it will be considered a upset? Frankfort has been ahead in the polls all year. Is this a case where most BGP's feel Bellevue was underrated or Frankfort has been overrated all year? Weaver and Tillman have been out for quite a while now and that shouldn't be having any effect on the polls at this point in the season. Or is Bellevue maybe getting better each week? Any thoughts on this? Quite frankly I liked being the underdog all year. Bellevue kids seem to respond to people who tell them they can't. Look at their team. A quarterback that didn't play the position until he got to High School. He has done a fine job and I believe would have some outstanding numbers if he were in a different system that passed more. A tight end that everyone says is to slow. All he has done is produce all year when called upon. Linebackers that people say are to short have lead what some people say has become one of the better run defensive in the state for class A football. A ruining back that has been told all his life he is to little for football. He leads the state (all classes) in rushing and TD's. An inexperienced line that going into the playoffs has become a strong point of the team. In summation Bellevue is the underdog and Frankfort according to the polls all year should win the game.

I thought the quarterback was coming back? If so that should be huge for the offensive side of the ball. As far as the defensive side? That's yet to be seen. Should be a high scoring game both ways.

I don't think the game is going to be high scoring. The winning team might get into the 30's with a late score but I think it is more likely to be something like my predicted score of 28-14.

I like your thinking VoR. What is your thoughts on Frankfort being the underdog? Can you really be considered an underdog if you have been ahead in the polls all year? I haven't seen any post from Frankfort fans saying Bellevue should be ranked higher.

Bellevue starts 10 seniors on both sides of the ball and that have been through the battles. They have the best running back in Class A and maybe even in the state. Their O-line is huge and does a great job of blocking. They have other guys like Hegge (sp?) that make plays. They are hard nosed and will flat bring the wood. Any Class A team that starts 10 seniors has to have an edge.

Well, I would say three things in response.

 

One, are you are saying Frankfort is the underdog because of the poll and comments here? I wouldn't necessarily use that info to determine who is favored or who is the underdog. I would say in most fans view, this is more of a pick 'em game.

 

Two, I think there is more respect for Bellevue now than there has been all year. It is an accumulation of lopsided wins and people touting them over the past few weeks that has raised the opinion of others.

 

Three, Frankfort's additional recent injuries and game last week against Brossart has more people doubting them in this game.

 

Combine all those things and Bellevue starts to look like they have the upper hand in the match up at this point in the season.
