They most certainly would. They'd have wins over the #1 & #2 teams in the BCS standings, and the SEC Title.

Technically the #1 & #3 but I get your point. However, I still disagree. If everyone in front of LSU wins out (except for Bama & UF) then I just don't see LSU jumping that many. I will also add that if they win out in impressive fashion and the others in front win out but struggle then I could see them making the leap. But if Oregon continues to play like they did against USC I just don't see it.

I guess I shouda used a smiley face, I was making a point on how messed up the system is, I understand how it works with us winning out or losing a game.

IMO if LSU were to win out they would definitely jump ahead of Oregon in the BCS. Just like Oregon jumped LSU with a win over USC. A win over #1 & #2/3 is more impressive than a win over #5, and even if the humans don't reward it. The computers will.

 

Of course if Bama wins Saturday. This whole point is moot.

They shouldn't have to play a defacto play in game against Florida when all Texas had to do was play a defacto play in game against Ok St. They have no significant wins except against teams that voters tell us are good. Oklahoma's biggest win to date is? OK St's is? These two teams lost to BYU and Houston. How do you get jumped when you have a week off?

Bama gets their chance. No one wants to see a rematch, and it's not really fair to the team that wins the SEC. Bama/LSU vs. UF for a shot at a title. No one else has a deal that sweet IMO. Sure Texas' schedule is weak now, but coming into the season most figured Sam Bradford would be going wild and Dez Bryant would still be catching passes.

With wins over Bama and UF? That would be the best resume of anyone, and yes that would mean better than a ZERO loss Texas, UC, Boise, TCU, Iowa whoever, IMO.
