Check the stats, UC has played excellent D this year, and have scored pretty much at will as well. Iowa can only claim one of the two...

Both are good, neither is great. Both need Texas and USC to lose to get to the title game. Neither UC or Iowa can win the title, but they will put up a good fight. I actually think that Iowa matches up better with UF/Bama because they try to keep the score low and play well in close games. UC, Iowa, Boise, TCU or most other teams that tried to play a high scoring game vs. those teams would lose badly.

October 25, 200916 yr I will have to agree that Iowa deserves to be ahead of UC. UC might have great stats but that doesn't mean they have played anyone. Their big win is against USF... and they got destroyed yesterday.

Alabama, UF, Texas, USC, LSU, and everyone else should give up. If a team like UC is destroying it's opponents, then the teams they are playing are no good. Had they played plenty of ranked teams that might be a stat that would impress me. USF is an improving program but they were only really ranked because they beat down FSU. Oregon State is Oregon State, a decent team but shouldn't be the highlight of a team's schedule. UC is nothing more than Boise as of right now. Sure they demolish teams, but their overall strength of schedule just isn't there. UC has a good team but would they be in the MNC picture in the SEC? No chance. In the Pac-10, Big 12 or even ACC? Possibly, but I wouldn't see them being undefeated in any of those conferences. I dont think they'd go undefeated in the Big 10 either. I don't think they'd beat Boise or TCU either. IMO, UC is the biggest fake in the top 10. You don't have to agree with that, and won't. I think Iowa has been more impressive thus far, you can think UC. It doesn't matter. If both are undefeated, chances are that neither plays for the title. I think though that IF Iowa beats OSU, they just UC and rightfully should. UC cannot complain about being left out of the title, IMO. They know that the Big East is looked at as a pathetic conference, so go and schedule someone, and go and play it on the road if need be.
