I've yet to see the camera that can record numbers visibly while also being far enough away to have the entire secondary as well as the backs. Typically we've always filmed from the furthest running back to the edge of the linebackers. I've yet to hear one complaint. We meet only 8 out of the 14 guidelines in that text (which this is the first time I've seen that). Most of the ones we don't meet are negligible things, like the down and distance and clock shots. Do people really care about that?

Yep, they care, I film for Raceland, I get the down and distance before each play, and the clock after every score and at the end of each quarter. I do a wide view of both the offensive formation and defensive formation then zoom in to one yard behind the deepest back and one yard behind the deepest LB, film starts at the huddle break of the offense and ends about five seconds after the tackle. All officials calls for penalty are filmed.

 

I don't know if I do it perfectly, but I do the best I can do to get all the above.

Thanks, I do it the best I can, now when a team is going no huddle, getting all those down and distance markers gets a little tricky, but I do the best I can.

I didn't mean Highlands specifically, I just used Highlands as a hypothetical scenario. I could have just as easily used someone else in the example. It wasn't a knock on HHS or NKY
