Didn't catch WR-Xavier Sheltons stats, but, he had a pretty big night.

 

Overall, dominating performance. Cards took control early and had a running clock early in

3rd qtr and got alot of the younger kids some good experience and came out of the game relatively injury free. Mayfield has an open week next week before there big district showdown with the Rockets of Crittenden Co..

Mayfield pretty much did what a good ballclub does...they came out focused and put the Bombers away early. Mayfield's overall team speed just overwhelmed the Bombers and at the half Ballard had less than 50 yards of total offense with much of their total yards on the night coming in the 2nd half against Mayfield's JV unit. Ballard has a good QB in Alex Mallory...he was just running for his life the entire night against Mayfield's front four.

 

Nice win for Mayfield and now we get a week off to heal up some...although we are pretty much healthy going into the Crittenden game next wee. Saw alot of Crittenden County players and coaches at the game last night since their game with Fulton County was forfeited by Fulton County with not having enough players after their suspensions.

I thought their might be a few Rockets in Mayfield last night. If I wasn't going to the O'Cath / Fort Campbell game on 23 October, I would make the drive to Marion. The Mayfield / Crittenden County game may be the best match-up in Western Kentucky this regular season.

You can draw whatever conclusion you want but IMO you can't say that CC's defense is better than Mayfields. It looks like both teams have a good defense.

I don't understand why you are showing me the CC stats. You may have miss understood what I was trying to say. I was trying to say that CC will have a better defense then the team you played friday night. Not that they have a better D then yours. It looks like on paper you should handle CC on both sides of the ball. But if it is a big game for both teams you never know what is going to happen. Good luck friday night.
