October 10, 200916 yr Unreal the umps in the playoffs have been terrible It's even worse when you have two extra umpires down the line. So was it a call made by one of the extra umpires down the left or right field line? There's really no excuse for missing one of those.
October 10, 200916 yr So much for all the haters saying A-Rod will go an his slump. Yankees tie the game up at 3 in the bottom of the ninth with an A-Rod 2 run home run.:dancingpa :ylsuper::ylsuper: A-Rod hit the A-Bomb to tie the game and then then Teixeiria follows later with anoter Yankee walk off HR/Win. The "Ghost" they talk about from Yankee past have now moved to the new ball park. :thumb::thumb:
October 10, 200916 yr Double play when Chad Gardner got doubled off was a very bad play by Chad, Yanks were very lucky in several ways. The bad call was just that, I don't know why MLB doesn't use replay, and I hate to see calls like that. I agree on getting a break on that bad call/no foul call. I am sure that the bad calls have evened out throughout the season and the Yanks have been burned on bad calls as well. I agree that "no call/missed call" was terrible.

But I am a Yankee hater too.

October 10, 200916 yr A-Roids is nothing in my eyes, no matter how much better he has performed in the postseason so far and for the rest of it for that matter.
October 10, 200916 yr I can see how 77 and 78 did that to you. Ya when you bleed dodger blue hating the Yanks is a given. They've always been our big brother unfortunately.
October 10, 200916 yr They had a double land about a foot fair and called a foul ball. Then ended up with the bases loaded. It's made a big difference. Didn't he end up getting a hit after the terrible call? Also there wasn't anyone on base at the time right? Like LRCW mentioned later how do you miss that if you're standing right there? He was no more than 20 feet away. It also hit the glove. If the guys doing the playoffs are the best of the best MLB may be in trouble.
October 11, 200916 yr Author Unreal the umps in the playoffs have been terrible Agreed, there have been some bad ones for Boston too even though I cant stand them.
