I am sure that PC's only focus is on South Laurel, as it should be. But the question is legitimate. It isn't PC's fault that the flu hit Lincoln as hard as it did. I just think that a very legit option was on the table, including the cooperation of Garrard County (who had no dog in that fight), but were turned down. There were ways for the Lincoln County game to be played, and I hate that it didn't get done. But I guess it doesn't matter now.

 

Back to this game, if it is pretty wet, that might seem to give SL an advantage with the speed of PC, .. but I think it really plays into PC's hands with a SL team that for most of the season has had trouble with turnovers. A muddy field and ball can't help SL in this regard. Haven't seen him yet, but I hear that the kid who stepped in for Muse is really playing well.

Because it could have helped lincoln get into the playoffs. But hey wouldnt want PC to help any kids. i am beginning to seewhy the Rock game is so big to our kids. They just dont like PC. I believe SL will give PC all they want but may come up short.

What is all the criticism of of PC, Lincoln officials were the ones that cancelled the game. Everyone has sick kids. PC offered no compromise or alternative other than playing that Friday or Saturday, which LC couldn't do based on the determination of the health officials in the county.

It was/is. That's not in dispute. Some people here (not me) are critical of PC for not playing the game on the Wednesday of the last week of the season, which is PC's open week. Lincoln had arranged with Garrard County to move that week's game from Friday to Saturday in order to squeeze in the PC game.

Then if the game was going to have to be played on PC's off week, then that isn't fair to Pulaski because they deserve a bye week just like every other high school team. They opted to play the game Saturday and Lincoln County couldn't so a forfeit should be awarded. It's an unfortunate situation, but I don't blame PC.

They got their bye week with no game with Lincoln. Garrard offered to move their game with Lincoln to a weekday with short notice. But PC will now have 2 bye weeks.
