Is "downing" our country better than downing our president?Maines has every right to be critical of her country's leaders and policies, no matter where she is. Palin has the same right. Our nation and our government are built on that premise. Little surprise, though, that there is a difference in the reactions to those statements.

Neither move may have been intelligent, but they had the right in both cases to do so.

October 1, 200916 yr The Iraqi invasion had yet to begin at the time she made the remark (which some of them seemed to overlook when I noted it earlier). Thats very interesting. I wonder what it was they were all upset about then. I understand people's anger who didn't agree with us going into Iraq. But does anyone know what her problem was with Pres. Bush at that time? Before the Iraq war he was very popular and I thought in the immediate aftermath of 9-11 he handled the situation very well. Can someone shed some more light on the situation for me?
