September 20, 200916 yr That's the word out of Chicago. No real shock. Suspension stems from negative comments made to the press about the negativity he faces from the fans, the city, and the club. How ironic is that?
September 20, 200916 yr I'm pretty sure I never said "I love this signing". As far as I ever said was "if he produces, I don't care." BTW..Go Steelers

September 21, 200916 yr Gotta love this quote from Bradley: In the newspaper story, Bradley also was quoted as saying the team did not have a "positive environment." He said he didn't know if he'd be back next season. "I need a stable, healthy, enjoyable environment," Bradley told the newspaper. "There's too many people everywhere in your face with a microphone asking the same questions repeatedly How many more environments are there in the big leagues from him to sample? This was his 7th team in 10 years.....The worst (or best of you don't like the Cubs) thing is they still owe him for 2 more years and $20 million dollars. Right now they have 3 options 1) Bring him back and watch year 102 pass by 2) Pay his entire salary and trade him for a marginal prospect 3) release him and pay his entire salary. We tried to tell you.....
September 21, 200916 yr http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/showthread.php?t=171580&highlight=milton+bradley See for yourself. You let him off too easy. You picked the wrong thread. How about this one from when the deal was finalized: http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/showthread.php?t=171921&highlight=cubs What is Fukadome hitting right now?
September 21, 200916 yr Him and Big Z will both be gone next year IMO Really? Big Z too? Remember when you were giving me a hard time for calling Zambrano a head case? Let's see: http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/showthread.php?t=185240&highlight=zambrano Like I said, I've got no problem with you or the Cubs per se. I just can't stand players that don't respect the game or people that defend them because they are talented. The Cubs, and Major League Baseball would be better without both of them. :thumb:
September 21, 200916 yr Author I think this is also damage control by Jim Hendry because his job isn't exactly safe with the new ownership coming in. Fukudome is closing in on BUST status. Gregg is there waiting to welcome him to the club. Bradley has been a bust. Hardin hasn't given them what they were expecting. And he's nearly gutted the farm system in the process. I think Hendry is circling the wagons big time. The thing is, Bradley (as much as I dont care for him) is going to wrongfully be made the scapegoat for the season. Bradley doesn't pitch in relief and has nothing to do with Soto hitting .218, Soriano hitting .240, and Gregg blowing 100 saves.
September 21, 200916 yr We totally bombed this year. Time to restart. Trade some of these guys for prospects and try to do something with some free agents. Our window with this team is shut
