September 21, 200917 yr UC's road to the Orange Bowl has gotten extensively easier. I think you can go ahead and make your reservations for Miami, GT.

It's more likely the BE Champ lands in New Orleans against the SEC... Gotcha...just figured the BE champ landed in the Orange Bowl opposite of the ACC champ. Seriously, who scares you in the Big East? UC isn't going to lose at the Nip. I thought the USF game in Tampa would be a challenge, because USF has the capability to put up points. Pitt?
September 21, 200917 yr Author I thought the USF game in Tampa would be a challenge, because USF has the capability to put up points. Pitt? If they stay healthy I'm not sure I see a team in the conference that is a serious threat. That's not to say they don't slip up against someone, but I think even 1 loss would get them back to the BCS...
September 21, 200917 yr George Selvie and company are still on the defensive side of the ball and Grothe's replacement, RSF BJ Daniels (Yes, gt. The same BJ Daniels of the BasketBulls), is bigger and faster than Matt. BJ was 10/13 for 149 and ran for 105 after replacing Matt last night. I know it was Charleston Southern, but he showed a thing or two. He's got the skills, throws a tight accurate spiral and can run (boy can he run), but lack of experience and maturity are against him. Then again, when Grothe replaced Pat Julmiste in the first game of the 06 season, he had less. Saturday noon, BJ goes from the frying pan, into the fire. We'll see how he does. (Doak Campbell Stadium Section 118 row W seats 6,7,8,9) I'm not ready to stick a fork in them, just yet.
September 21, 200917 yr From the St. Pete Times.... South Florida Bulls quarterback Matt Grothe out for the season with torn left ACL
