All of you are right- I am old! 27 years ago this fall I was playing Qb for Larry French at Mercer County HS(back when we were the Dogs) and I also had Coach French for Driver's Ed. We weren't very good, but it was a great experience playing for Coach French. He held our team togther and we at least won a couple more games at the end. Coach French has been a blessing to alot of kids at a lot of different schools. Hopefully this is the year he gets to coach a state champion, but regardless he is one of the best coaches and people to coach the game of football in this state.

 

You had some descent teams at Mercer Chief. I remember Troy Lay was a tough little RB and there were some 5-6, 6-5 seasons in there I thought. :thumb:

 

BTW, Rebel does have those gray hairs for a reason. :D
