I was thinking the same things about the field goals. Like it or not we have held them to that . It counts for something right?

 

Does to me. I always try to find moral victories if we don't win.

No. Not at all. We're just very young. We only have 3 on this team that were starters last year. We're playing with our back up QB. And nothing at all against our D, but Jordan Whiting and Brock Messina were some kind of Defense.

 

I think this year's D will be great over time. I'm glad they're holding Elder to pretty much field goals. But, they have a ways to go to match last year's D.

 

Understood. There are years where T beats an Elder and year where Elder beats T. You got em the at the wrong time. Be proud of the fact that your young team can compete with the nation's elite. Wishing for other players or teams to be playing just sounds kind of petty

Definitely proud of our team! Never meant to imply otherwise. I think there were many who thought that Elder would run all over Trinity. The fact that Elder only scored one touch down, and all the rest of their points were field goals is pretty darn good, I think.

We have a lot of work to do on both sides of the ball. We know where we need to go let's just hope we get there. The silver lining for me is that we held them 4 times to just field goals instead of TDs. So it could have been worse. Keep your head up guys and keep trucking

We'll get there! I love we're playing the schedule we're playing. This will pay off big in the end.:thumb:
