Cardinals put their 2-0 record to the test on the road in BG, and looking a little stronger on defense than they had in week 1. What's WC look like under their new coach?

Warren Central is much better than I expected them to be. The defense has especially played well, sans a few hiccups. They were incredibly strong against Southwestern in the first half before fading, but have only allowed 13 points offensively in the last two weeks. They're pretty stout against the run, but much less so against the pass. That looks like it may be a vulnerability all year long.

Offensively, well, it's up and down. They have a pretty good stable of running backs, and have racked it up on the ground. But through the air it's not very good. Troy is not the most accurate passer, and you just hope that the receiver can make the most of the opportunity when he throws a good one. If Nelson County can shut down the run, I don't know how Warren Central will move the ball.

Isn't Mike Rogers the new head man at Central? So this pits him against his former team for the first time. Good story line.

If Central doesn't defend the pass well it will be a long night. Martinez & Co. have really come out of the gates strong through the air.

Warren Central 28-21.

Nelson really throws the ball a lot which is Warren's weak spot. Nelson is very strong against the run which is about all WC can do. Nelson has played a very strong Marion County team that was ranked 5th in class 4A. I give the edge to Nelson, but it won't be a blow out because all the Nelson staff really like Mike Rogers and they won't let it get too ugly.

title is too agressive.

I agree dkm29. Nelson has had a very good offensive game and a very good defensive game. They could put it all together in this one. One thing that has been much better for NC this year is turnovers. Maybe its because they are not running up the middle every play.

Good luck to Coach Rogers.

You be sure to thank the staff for us.

I am sure that Coach Rogers appreciates the fact that NC won't let the game get too ugly due to their friendship. So I guess you are saying that if the game is close or heaven forbid WC wins it won't have anything to do with WC's play.

Hey Mike, you can breathe a sigh of relief now, I hear your friends over at Nelson are gonna shave some points out of respect. Ha!:isurrender:
