September 2, 200917 yr Author Tonight's attendance: 10,304 :ohbrother: Tatum with 4 RBI. Balentein went 2 - 3 with his 6th HR of the season. Jonny Gomes with 3 more hits. Paul Janish went 1 - 3 with 2 Runs scored & 2 RBI. Phillips & Barker both had 2 hits.
September 2, 200917 yr Author Janish sure can pick it. No need for a shortstop next season. I don't think Janish is the answer, but I'd love to have him on the team next year. He's great defensively & has an absolute rocket arm. He has hit .280 in his last 10 games, including 6 multi-hit games. One of those games includes Game 1 of the doubleheader, where he went 0-1. Like I said, I don't think he's the answer for next season, but I'd love to keep him around.
September 2, 200917 yr He is hitting and what a glove. The best part is that he is cheap. He defense is as good as it gets. Use the money, what little they have available for another pitcher.
September 2, 200917 yr So far the Bats are holding their own in Cincinnati. Against another AAA team they are.

From what i saw Sunday, i dont like him at shortstop. Takes glove off inbetween pitches, stands straight up when ball is in play. He let two playable balls go off his glove and it cost them the game.

He let two playable balls go off his glove and it cost them the game. Janish is very good defensively with a rocket arm. Those were 2 very tough plays. He did a decent job on one, and the other he failed to knock down. Don't confuse "playable" with "routine." Both of those plays would have been great plays, had he made them. Where did Kevin barker come from? Career minor leaguer who has been in AAA the past 2 seasons. He's about to set all sorts of offensive records down in Louisville...
September 3, 200917 yr Author Bailey is 3-0 with 1.69 ERA over his last three starts. Stubbs is hitting .320 with three home runs and RBI over his last 11 games.
