Track the Braves (2nd half - Week 6)

Featured Replies

Shew, I want to constantly make these threads but with student teaching I rarely have the time to actually do so.

After taking 2 of 3 from the Marlins to take sole possession of 2nd place in the NL East, and 3rd place in the NL Wild Card, the Braves find themselves in a critical position for this week.

Monday- Off day

Tuesday- vs. San Diego @ 7:00pm [ Jurrjens (10-8) vs. Latos (4-3)]

Wednesday- vs. San Diego @ 7:00pm [ Kawakami (6-9) vs. Stauffer (1-6)]

Thursday- vs. San Diego @ 7:00pm [ Vazquez (10-9) vs. Richard (7-3)]

Friday- @ Philadelphia @ 7:05pm [ Hanson (9-2) vs. Martinez (3-0)]

Saturday- @ Philadelphia @ 7:05pm [ Lowe (12-8) vs. Lee (11-9)]

Sunday- @ Philadelphia @ 8:05pm (ESPN) [ Jurrjens (10-8) vs. Blanton (8-6)]

The weekend series against Philadelphia is a must win. Braves lost 2 of 3 against Philadelphia a week ago and need a strong showing against San Diego (hoping for a sweep) to take momentum into Philadelphia against a red hot team. All 3 matchups in the series are going to be great.

Hopefully McLouth can return from the DL, and Braves will get Church and Anderson back as well. Gordecki (sp?) is not the replacement the Braves need and is really struggling, they need to bring up Heyward if they plan on using someone in the OF.

Braves sit 4GB in the WC, and 6.5GB in the NL East.

Opps..Can someone change the title to say week 7 instead of week 6...

The Braves are playing great right now. Now if McLouth could come back and get back to hitting with some power they'd be doing even better. Laroche is hitting very well with the Braves.

7 homeruns in 19 games with the Braves...He is batting .400+ as well I do believe.

Come on now. Just admit you're just jumping back on the wagon. You average over 13 post a day, so you had time to start the threads in the past. :sssh::D:p:lol:

When I post about the Braves, I like to post more than what I do when I just actually post.

And these threads are usually started on Mondays or something and I usually forget.

You of all people should know I'm not a bandwagon when it comes to the Braves. :D

I know, just giving you a hard time. As you can see the Track the Reds threads have really died down as far as number of post lately. It just gets frustrating seeing the same thing year after year.

Some bandwagons swell, and some just wither away ...

Braves down 1-0 in the bottom of the 9th.

Runners on 1st and 2nd with 2 outs and LaRoche hits a single to tie the game. Man he has been on fire since returning to Atlanta.

Bottom of the 10th right now.

Both starting pitchers were excellent tonight.

Bases loaded for Garrett Anderson in the bottom of the 10th.

They had every shot to win this game tonight and didn't. They better win the next two...

Bases loaded in the 11th and they strike out only to loose it the next inning :(
