August 28, 200917 yr As badly as the last two days have been, everything went to plan today. Braves win? Check. Phillies lose? Check. Marlins lose? Check. Rockies lose? Check. The Braves HAVE to at least win 2 of 3 from Philly.
August 28, 200917 yr The Braves do need to take 2-3 from Philly. It would be even better if they swept them, and then swept Florida too. How awesome would it be to see the Braves in the playoffs again? Man that would be great.
August 28, 200917 yr Author It's sad the that when the Phillies lose 2 of 3 to the Pirates that the Braves still fall a 1 game further back. Braves need to definitely at least win 2 of 3 and pray for the sweep.
August 29, 200917 yr Braves down 3-0 right now in game 1 vs. Philly. Tommy Hanson gave up a homer to Ryan Howard, then had to sit after a rain delay. The Braves then brought in Medlen who also gave up a homer to Ryan Howard. 3-0 in the 4th with two outs.

It would be nice to see Chipper start hitting again. He's been awful lately. Matt Diaz on the other hand has been on fire.

August 30, 200917 yr Author Big game for the Braves tonight on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball. Last time the Braves faced the Phillies on Sunday Night Baseball I believe they got beat 6-1 or something like that. Hopefully the Braves can return the favor.
August 30, 200917 yr Marlins won today, but the Rockies are currently getting beat by San Francisco again. Another win tonight for the Braves would really help their wild card chances, especially if Colorado loses again.
