Breathitt/Sheldon Clark Predictions

Featured Replies

Breathitt Co. 35-12.

Sheldon Clark is not big, they are HUGE. You will really be impressed by the size and strength of SC' linemen. The Cardinals also have some athletes that will surprise some of Breathitt's fans. I am not going to predict a score or even a winner, but I am willing to bet that when both teams leave the field they will know they were in a dog fight. Good luck to both teams.

If they can establish that size and use it to control the ball and shorten the game, it should be a good one.

I could be wrong, but if they cannot chew up clock, I doubt they can stop Breathitt's offense if they give them too many possessions. But, if they grind it out, frustrate them and don't allow them to get a rhythm on offense, they've got a very good chance to win.

That's partially a guess...Sheldon Clark could be good enough to stop BC for all I know. Win or lose, I'm just glad the Bobcats have some solid opponents on the schedule before closing in the district when it really matters.

I have never been to Sheldon Clarks field. Could someone help me out with some directions? I have tried the address it gives online and mapquest doesn't seem to recognize their address.

It's in Inez, right?

I better let someone who knows the area better tell you how to get there. I'm pretty sure you can go south on KY 15 and you'll go by an intersection around Carr Fork Lake (between Vicco and Whitesburg) that you can turn left on that will take you there. But, I'm not sure that's the best or fastest route.

I think the best route from Jackson would be to take Mt Parkway to Salyersville. Just past Salyersville, turn left onto 460 East towards Paintsville for about 15 miles. Stay on 460 until just outside of Paintsville, where you will take 23 North to Ulysses for about another 15 miles. At Ulysses you turn right onto 645 towards Inez. 645 is about 12-15 miles long and dead ends right in front of Sheldon Clark High School. Turn right and the football field is on your right about 200 yards away.

Those are all very good roads to travel and you should make it in 2 1/2 hours or less.

Agreed with CC that Breathitt will probably not play a more physically strong team all year...Their skill players are stronger than most lineman. They will be very physical, very experienced, and very hungry.

I am actually venturing home to watch the Cards that I love so dearly...I hope they put on a show

How would they compare to Johnson Central from last year? They had a big team and they used that to plow down the field and chew up clock to win 26-14. That was the second game of the season, I believe.

I think Breathitt County is a better team now than they were a year ago, but that might be a decent comparison.

Watusi's directions are the best way to go. Great directions! Sheldon Clark look like they are going to be good. Their school is nowhere close to as many boys as Johnson Central but they are really big and physical. I expect a better game than expected and wouldn't be shocked if SC ended up winning. Should be a really good matchup. I'm not sure either team can stop the other.

The Bobcats are on a mission. SC will provide strong resistance, but Breathitt will wear them down and cruise.

Does Sheldon Clark audio webcast their games by any chance and if so what is the web address?
