Seneca 44 Central 26

I just caught this from the scoreboard, shocker of the night for me.

Especially with their star QB out, this is a shock.

Central did lose a lot on defense from last year. Patterson needs some more help on that side of the ball.

Congratulations to the Redhawks on pulling this one off, especially given the short amount of time they had to adjust to the loss of their super QB DeMarcus Smith. :thumb:

Everyone knew that Seneca would still have a strong offense, but it looks like they have greatly improved their D to go along with it.

Central has struggled over the last two championship years to beat Jefferson County's 6A teams. Even though they have tons of talent, it must be the numbers that were them down. I still expect to see Central in Bowling Green.

I agree with you on this one.

If Aaron Nance isn't the best receiver in Louisville, I'm looking forward to watching the guys who is. He's about 6'4 and played over the top of Central's Db's all night long.

Demarcus who? Jordan Bender has got to be considered to be among the best Jr. QB's around. He threw for at least two TD's and ran another for 55 yards. He out ran Central - are you kidding me?

Except for a couple of big plays, and two early Seneca turnovers - Seneca Dominated That Game!

I was impressed. The Redhawks are ligit.

Losing your star quarterback is never good, but Seneca might be better off on the season by losing their QB well before the season started. I think it allows them to make the necessary changes to their offense and mentally prepare the new kid for the job. It might have been a completely different story if Smith got injured in Week 2.

Seneca is a 6A team. No shocker for me.

37 out of 38 voted for Central on the Pick-em contest. You should have voted, you might of won.

The scores tonight by two of Trinity's district foes is encouraging! Looks like this is a good year for them! Looking forward to the matchups later this season for Trinity!

He may be one of the best in the state.
