What does Newport Central Catholic need to do to improve in 2009/2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

I know they have Grant Pangallo returning and he is one of the top 3-4 point guards in Northern Kentucky. Good returning big man in Jake Geisler who will be one of the top big men in N Ky.

Good solid foundation with which to start and NewCath has a good basketball tradition. I would imagine they will be a force in the All A and a tough out come tourney time.

They will start off slow this year, but after the footballers get into basketball shape, look for them to hang with most teams around. Sophomore Highchew will make a nice partner to Pangallo at guard. Good mix of big men to go with them.

What about the near 7 footer that is playing football? Doesn't he play basketball?

Don't know if he'll go out for the team or not. His foot is still tender from an operation. He can play football, but to get up and down the court at 300 plus pounds might be a tough task.

How big is the "near 7 footer"?

Maybe 340# .

I meant how tall, but wow, that's a big boy.
