gchs_uk9 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Garrard County Former assistant Doug Simpson replaced Ed Rall. Simpson played at Garrard County from 1983-87, then pitched for four seasons at Eastern Kentucky University. He was drafted into the Pittsburgh Pirates organization where is pitched in the minors for two seasons before injuries cut short his career. Simpson was an assistant at Garrard last season and has been a periodic contributor for several seasons on the staff.
