He was the best friend anyone could ask to have!

I cannot emphasize enough what a great young man he was. This is the 2nd child that Rick and Judy Elrod has lost. The first was an infant, I believe. I cannot imagine their hurt.

He was the valedictorian of his 2003 graduating class at Pendleton County H.S. and a 2007 Graduate of Georgetown College where he had played basketball for the Tigers.

Both Stephen and Jon attended and played basketball at Georgetown College. Stephen graduated in 2007.

Keaton Belcher (PCo '05) played at Belmont College.

That's right, just got the Pendleton boys mixed up. My prayers go out to the family.

I had the pleasure to watch Stephen assist with a basketball team of 7,8 & 9 year olds this past season. He was a wonderful role model for those boys! Each one of them looked up to him as he was a "super star" so to speak. Stephen had a smile that could brighten a room. Such a terrible loss to all that was a part of Stephens life. God bless the Elrod family.

I know the whole family from Father And Mother to Grand parents. I know it's a great loss, I am truly sorry. Family kept your faith and we will be praying for you.

Missing Stephen already. He was an awesome guy and always was smiling. Some things are just hard to undstand. Prayers are with the Jon and the entire Elrod family.

Im very sorry to hear this. My thoughts and condolences for the family.
