I forgot about 06 at the Fall Classic. Thanks for correcting me.. I am pretty sure the NCC LIVT win over NDA was year before last in 07, not last year.

It was 2007 LIVT (Jen Wolfe's first season) and 2006 Fall Classic (Yoon Ha's only season).

The scores on KHSAA website from those 2 match-ups.

In 2006 NDA won 22-25, 25-19, 25-14. In 2007 NCC won 25-23, 25-23

Nice write-ups yesterday about the local teams for the volleyball preview in the paper.

It's a shame all the schools didn't provide information to help promote the sport, their teams and their players!!!!

Unfortunately, they just send those out to the schools AD and then most get lost due to summer vacations and lack of communication. Surely, the coaches would submit if they had the info in front of them. Most teams with info the paper was at their scrimmages. Maybe the paper could visit a majority of schools and interview as they do for football and basketball.

Beechwood varsity beat Boone Co. tonight 25-22, 25-12. Jesse has the girls playing well together. JV also won, but did not see the games.

Nice win for the Lady Tigers!

Villa may surprise some people this year. They were definitely intimidated in their first game of the season vs. St.Henry, but they beat Bishop Brossart very easily last night. Wtih Coach Kitchen's years of experience along with some new talent from some younger players combined with the experience of four senior starters, they have a good chance at winning the Division III conference and more.

So, nice win for Beechwood over Boone this week.

St. Henry and NDA both cruised over Villa and Cooper respectively.

Villa with a nice win over BB.

Any other games this week worth mentioning?

Next week, any big games? I see Ryle is at NDA on Tuesday. Has Ryle played yet?

Dixie beat Holmes Thursday night in their opener at Holmes.

Beechwood plays Holy Cross on Thursday. Should be a good game.

OOPS, I stand corrected. The Tigers play Holy Cross a week from Thurs.
