July 6, 200917 yr Well, in October, we are expecting our 2nd child. Right now, we have 2 names narrowed down. One my wife likes, and the other I like. My wife posted a poll on one of her websites to see what others thought of the names, so I figured I'd try it here (since it didn't go my way on her's ).
July 6, 200917 yr If you're going to use an Irish name, then at least use one of the traditional spellings which is Aidan or Aiden. BTW, Aiden is becoming a fastly popular boy's name (you can blame Sex in the City for that), so if you're trying to give him a unique, uncommon name, well you're actually not. As for Easton, what is this kid? A baseball bat? Can we add a "neither" option to this poll? If I must choose, go with Aiden (Aidan), but spell it right. Spelling it "Ayden" makes me want to pronounce it "eye-den." Or you could just throw both out the window and call the kid "Atticus" which is beyond awesome.
July 6, 200917 yr One of my son's best friends is named Easton. And BTW, he's a great baseball player!

July 6, 200917 yr I think that you should namer th7e child hatever yopu a1nd your wife decide on. I tend to agree with Mcpapa though......"What your wife likes"...I think that he is referring to the old saying..."if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy". :sssh::lol: Congrats on the baby boy :thumb:. BTW, as for Easton and the baseball reference, I grew up in an era of real baseball bats....wooden ones! We didn't use those "sissy" aluminum bats".:lol: Easton also made avery good arrow, so if that name he may grow up to be a good archer/bowhunter one day.:thumb:

This poll will not persuade us one way or the other. I was just curious to see the results from a predominately male website to that of a female one.
