IMO this helps Orlando IF they are able to resign Hedu. Orlando wants to win now and Carter gives them that chance. If this goes through then I believe they are the favorites to win the East as of now.
June 25, 200917 yr IMO this helps them. As long as everything goes well, Vince is fine. But if the team struggles, he's not much help. I don't see him as a leader. I see him as an "injury"-prone frontrunner, something not necessarily needed in Orlando.

A step back from an aging point guard being replaced by an all star one in Nelson, Battie who never played, and a rookie shooting guard who couldn't guard anyone bigger than him to save his life right now, and most players at his position are bigger. Vince is a superior defender and scorer to Lee at this point, and it makes sense to win now.

Vince is a superior defender and scorer to Lee at this point, and it makes sense to win now. Nelson was already on the team so that move was going to be made. Lee was as you said a ROOKIE who was good enough to start for them. He was only going to get better. Carter does not help passing, defensively or rebounding. He will not help out Dwight HOward offensively as his drives will clog the middle instead of opening up the middle for Howard.
