June 24, 200917 yr Just heard ESPN's Broussard talking about this. His take - Rondo is a pain; poor attitude and difficult to coach. If he's like this now, when not receiving a huge salary and with three superstars on the team, what's ha gonna be like in a few years? I thought that was Tubby's fault.:D

Rondo, 24, a rapidly developing point guard, has been publically termed off-limits by Ainge in trade discussion this summer. Nevertheless, his name found a way into this conversation. June 24, 200917 yr I wouldn't trade Rondo, I think he has the potential to be the fourth or fifth best point guard in the NBA, Stuckey could be good, but I don't think he will be anywhere close to Rondo. There isn't a huge difference in them right now if you look at the stats. Rondo's playoff performance did more for his stock than anything. If he ever learns to shoot, he will be a top 5 PG.

Stuckey's good, but I don't think he brings what Rondo brings to the table. I've thought Rondo would be a top 5 Point Guard before the playoff performance.

June 25, 200917 yr If he learns to shoot... He is still extremely effective when he can run and is out in the open floor. He plays solid D, has good floor vision, has an ability to make difficult passes and gets to the basket really well. He's already one of the better point guards in the league, he had a great post season and I think he will build on it. The shooting will come.

June 25, 200917 yr Rondo is one of those 2nd tier guys. He can easily get into the top 6 or 7 PG's in the league, but he really doesn't have enough to become one of the two or 3 best. Look at who he will compete against for years to come, CP3, Deron Williams, Derrick Rose I don't think when all have completed their games that he will be quite in their league. I think he could be a Tony Parker type caliber of player. Certainly a great player, potential all-star but not in the upper echelon of stars in the league. As for the shooting, it probably won't come. That form is just nasty. His shot has gotten better, but you just can't make someone who is naturally that bad of a shooter into a good one.
