^I don't know who you're talking about. Chad has always talked, the only thing that changed is last year he didn't produce.

 

The first year he produced he didn't talk. I had him on my fantasy football team and was estatic that this no name was producing every week. The ego grew, the side shows started, his production went down then he started crying around.

I really hope he produces this year. He is talented. I like his passion for the game and winning. I don't like that he puts himself above the team. I also liked that he was a hard worker but he admitted he did nothing to prepare last year. Carson said CJ is in the best shape he's seen him in. That's good news. Now I wish he would forget about what dance he is going to do and go help the Bengals win.

It's pretty black and white. There are WR's that put themselves above the team and there are those that are team players. T.O. is passionate and produces but has been bad for chemistry in the past. Chad is talented but has put himself first.

Larry Fitzgerald goes out and plays like the best WR in the league. He just helped lead a terrible franchise to the Super Bowl.

Some love to watch CJ and his side show. He would have been great in the XFL.

I love to watch a guy like Fitz light it up and not worry about the side show antics. To each his own...

Heh.. Idk about you guys but Chad is one of the few reasons i've even been keeping tabs on my Bengals the past few years.

 

As for his comments off the grid-iron. Heck, cots called him out and Chad's a player. If you were a professional athlete and someone called you out, you would defend yourself too. You'd probably be upset. If your son plays high school football and someone is doubting his ability and calls him out, you're not going to sit there and take it, are you?

 

And the endzone celebrations? You can tell he likes to have fun. That's just who Chad Johnson is. Giving out christmas presents on Christmas Eve after a touchdown? I was at that the game and the fans were going crazy.

 

It goes us some hope for an organization that's had none for the past two decades!!

I'm going on record to say Chad has a big year this year! I don;t like him but he's coming in witha better attitude, not the best attitude but a better one and hopefully Carson Palmer will be healthy. I know i'm going to hear about this prediction. :popcorn:

I don't blame him for defending himself and I don't blame Solly for not backing down from him.

He like Steve Smith was creative with his endzone dances. My problem with him is he became a distraction. He started worrying more about what dance he was going to do next, who he could show up next etc. He started becoming a cancer. On top of that his production suffered on the field.

If you look at the Steelers, Pats, Colts, Giants they were all the definition of TEAM!!!!! There were no one man shows (Plax comes the closest and you see what he did to them last year). If Cincy ever wants to be taken seriously then they have to buy into the team concept. Bottom line nobody is bigger than the team. Chad has been imature at times and put himself before the team. That's the gripe I have with him. I would love to see him produce and rededicate himself. It sounds like he has gotten himself in great shape and that is great. I hope he produces and it sounds like there is a good chance he will. Don't get me wrong I'd take a Larry Fitzgerald all day every day but that's not what we have.

I agree that he has put himself before the team on multiple occasions, but to be honest I don't see anything about leadership or teamwork being preached from the coaches and leaders of the orginization. I'm not one to point fingers, but I think alot of Chads actions and showmanship off (and on) the gridiron is a result of a lack of stability and integrity in the organization.

I really see the bengals as a dysfunctional family with the daddy at work all day while the mom just sits home and watches days of our lives while her kids run the roads and get into trouble.

He is the best WR in the history of the Bengals and is statistically one of the best of all time.

 

Just because he is different doesn't make him a loser. The Bengals have plenty of losers, but I don't think Chad is one. If Wilcots is calling him out than Chad has every right to do the same to Wilcots. There is no comparison between the two has far as on the field talent. Chad had a MUCH better career.

 

Sure, his stats may be great, what about the team. See the connection there? Plus, he's had a pretty good QB throwing him the ball.

Neither does TJ, but I've never seen people get on here and blast him for every little stupid thing he does/says....

I am not going to defend James Harrison logic on things, because I disagree with his veiws, but he wants to win more than be on the camera. Your right the front office is a cancer, but so is your boy CJ. This guy tanked for your team last year and you still got his back... :confused:
