I believe Mike Webster's brother Steve went on to be Academic All-American at Yale. Maybe Neer Fan will know.

Steve was a very good OL for SK. The Webster family has a history of making the grades. I believe he scored a 32 on the ACT and attended Yale. He played a few seasons but blew out his knee and that was it for him on the gridiron. I missed an opportunity to attend a graduation event at his frat, I believe PFunk played, and Paul from "The Wonder Years" was in his frat. Steve currently is a trader in the Baltimore, Md area.

On the defensive side of the ball I would add:

 

Mike Webster 1991-1994

One of the nastiest guys I know, attended UK, then left for Thomas More, played on one of their best teams, then went back to UK and started at OG in front of Tim Couch. Played for Barcelona in NFL Europe, and later had a tryout with Jacksonville. I believe Tony Brackens injured Mike's shoulder and ended any hope of a chance in the NFL.

 

Mike is one of those guys that you look at and hope to God you never make angry. Tony Franklin listed some of his favorite players during his time at UK in his book. Of Webby he said something along the lines of, "if there was ever a guy you wanted behind your back in a bar fight, he was the guy."

I couldn't agree more. I grew up with Steve and Mike, and there were some nights I'd rather not run into Mike, and most of those nights were at Mainstrasse.

I would have Mike Webster in my fox hole any day! Having been around the program for over half of its existance I think Miles is by far the best ever. There have been very few guys that you know are going to make something happen. For example the Male game he blocked a field goal and threw a pass and rushed for 200yds. When we don't get a good kick off return there is no worries it just means Miles will get more rushing yards!
